When I first listened to ‘Video Games’ on the TV-series ’Ringer’ around september, that noir-boring show where Sarah Michelle Gellar plays the twins-sisters, I wondered who would have such a voice. HypeMachine enlightened me about one month later, and I just said to my friend: This ‘Lana’ thing is gonna be Huge! At this point she was already signed with Interscope. In November Video Game was featured on a Gossip Girl episode for 4 epic minutes and now she is all over the internet and all this mysterious atmosphere hinted on her videos created annoying speculations about the authencity of her retro/sexy persona…

Well, after spent a whole morning listening to her sad/sweet voice, singles, remixes and even her previous album ‘Kill Kill’ released under Lizzy Grant (mysteriously vanished from iTunes). After reading some articles about the backlash… All I have to say is: Her music is just great, and even if the girl on the video is just a character, it doesn’t matter! Who cares if the doll have her nose and lips done? Who cares if she failed once in the mainstream and had to re-invent herself to get her music heard? A millionaire’s daughter or ex-trailer trash. Doesn’t make any diference if the story she tells is not even close to the truth as long as the music still awesome…
